Reggie Charlton

Head Coach:  USATF Level 1 Certified

I’m Reggie Charlton, Head Coach of the Elite Striders Track Club.  I was born and raised in the Bahamas where track and field has been my life for as long as I have known. While attending Arizona State University on a full track and field scholarship, I became a three time All-American in the sport. I graduated from ASU with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management, and later received my Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University.  I have been coaching for 5 years, and in the 2012 track season I took 11 Bantam boys and girls to the National Jr. Olympics.  Out of the 11 athletes 7 of them were All-Americans, of which 4 were the National Jr. Olympic Champions.  In the group I coached, both boys and girls set the State Indoor Record in the 4x400 meter relay, and in the 4x200 meter relay at the Annual Indoor Classic in Flagstaff, AZ.  The Bantam girls also broke the Outdoor State Record in the 4x400 meter relay running a time of 4:29.84. I also coached my daughter Jayde Charlton, who broke the Bantam Girls State Record in the open 400 meters with a time of 1:03.26. The Bantam groups that I coached in 2012, were State Champions, Regional Champions, and National Jr. Olympic Champions. I am a dedicated person with a vision and a purpose, which has been the driving force that has brought me much success throughout my life.
